I have just received the game board but it looks lovely and I look forward to many games using this board.

generally satisfied with purchase. quality of manufacture seems high. colors of board and checkers provide excellent contrast. fair value for price (about $200). the two (minor) negatives: 1) needs a handle 2) image of product showed checkers partially drilled out at center. shipped product lacked this feature. finally, checkers slide very easily on board. i prefer a small bit of resistance which, inter alia, prevents the checkers from sliding off of the points by inadvertent jostling. weighted checkers would address this issue as well as provide a more elegant feel to the movement of the pieces (albeit, perhaps, at increased cost). my suggestion: offer heavier checkers as an optional upgrade.
